​The History

Ernest Renoux spent his youth and later life living and painting in the Marne Valley in his Atelier in the magnificent gardens at Maison Renoux.

He is remembered for his work on the Petit Palais in Paris and for a host of beautiful impressionist paintings ,some of which are still on display in the house today.

Renoux is buried in the Village of Romeny- Sur- Marne and a monument has been erected locally in his honour.​

Denise and Rob, your bilingual Franco-American and English hosts have tastefully renovated and expanded Maison Renoux, a 16th century country house. The historic gardens offer tranquillity and beauty, providing an ideal space for personal reflection and meditation. Rob and Denise’s vision is to create “ A Place of Well Being’, where guests can take time to for relaxation, self development and rejuvenation. 

 

They have spent many years as international management coaches, trainers and mentors.

 

They regularly conduct retreats and seminars and are happy to provide further information on how they can be of support to you.

 

Denise is also an executive coach and Certified MAP Practitioner. MAP (Make Anything Possible) is a revolutionary approach to personal transformation, healing and well being.

Rob brings his organisational and hosting skills to Maison Renoux. He is passionate about antiques and classic cars  and has developed a programme of classic car tours for the area around Maison Renoux. 

 

As well as offering fully en suite charming guest rooms  and an independent Gite, Maison Renoux hosts various events and retreats for small groups including Teambuilding, Singing, Poetry, Self Development and Creativity.
